I have ubuntu 12.04 installed. I have installed MySQL workbench.

I have data in MS-Access. I am ubable to import MS-Access data into MySQL.
I created a database using Workbench. When I try to list databases using the command show databases; in the terminal, it does not show the database created in Workbench.

Please solve the following issues:

2- In general, how to import MS-Excel or Open Document data into MySQL?
3- How to access databases created by Workbench using the terminal?
4- Where does Workbench save databases?

1, Check Access to MySQL, http://www.bullzip.com/products/a2m/info.php.
2, Export to comma delimited text file.
3, Did you launch it by /usr/bin/mysql-workbench

If you want to execute sql statement, you do not need to run workbench from the terminal
