Hi Isaiah:

Yes, that is my intention to make this a BSD only project. Just need to find some free time to get it done.

Sweet, I'd like to talk to you about combining our efforts sometime in the future. Maybe moving my project into yours.

Absolutely would be up for talking. Which project are you referring to, the Gearman-Java Server or Gearman JMS?

The server. However, I still need to do some work on it before I do anything. I rushed to get it running before I graduated and made some poor design decisions. I'm trying to fix them right now.

My goal is to have this server embeddable so that the wrapping application can have a client/worker that passes messages to the server in the local address space, allowing for a true p2p design. And I want to use your interface for the embedded client/worker.

Moreover, It would be nice if the server and client were in part of the same project. Your project has been around longer and already has users, I figured it would be best to merge my project into yours.

Let me know what you think.
