auto login root

Asked by cimek

I just wonder why it's forbidden to allow auto login as a root in the options?
Linux users are not a babies only and don't need such a "parental control".
It's just doesn't follow idea of open source software and it's against freedom of choice.
Everyone who decide to log in as a root is aware of the danger and it's his problem if he got in troubles.
You should put some warning or double confirmation but generally this option should be allowed.
If someone don't care about safety he will login as a user anyway, if he wants to change code he will find and do it. All this prohibition only complicates using it and not gaining system more funs.
This is just my opinion but I met big echo in the Internet when was looking for help how to change my one.
Think about it.

Unfortunately, this is something the GDM team itself must decide. GDM2Setup is merely a better interface for the engine that they provide.

Can you help with this problem?
