Debug Cortex-M23's FVP using gdb

Hello there!
I'm about to start a project using ARM Cortex-M23 processor and I want to use the GNU ARM Embedded Toolchain to test some simple applications.
I've already successfully compiled using the toolchain along with a Makefile and tested it running on the Cortex-M23 FVP.
So, my question now is: How can I debug this application using gdb and Cortex-M23 FVP? Is it possible? Do you know other workaround?
