Asked by CaCO3

Hi

When I download Download gcc-arm-none-eabi-5_4-2016q2-20160622-win32.exe, I get a virus warning for WS.Reputation.1
Virus Scanner: Symantec Endpoint Protection.

The zip version seems to be fine.

Hi CaCO3 (or should I say Calcium carbonate?),

We take the utmost precaution when building the toolchain and in the case of the Windows toolchain it is built by cross-compilation on a Windows host. Therefore I believe it more likely that this is a false positive. Alternatively, the file could also have been altered by a virus on your computer. Could you check the checksum of that file?

Here is what I get for gcc-arm-none-eabi-5_4-2016q2-20160622-win32.exe:

MD5: c4ddd967d26e3fe23794fadbc5668ac7
SHA1: 576ee13f35830aa7babdd6266e79a687c3d43544
SHA256: de54ecccbed386146149b22ad0aad67012efeed33db859253ddb16051e669b37

Best regards.
