64bit binaries for Windows

Asked by Erich Styger

Hello,
currently the GCC ARM Embedded binaries for Windows are 32bit only. I'm looking for faster compilation speed, and I think 64bit GCC binaries would be helpful especially as most Windows systems today are 64bit anyway.
Are there any plans to have 64bit Windows binaries in addition to the 32bit binaries?

Thanks,
Erich

I'm afraid we don't have any plans to support 64-bit Windows tools in the immediate future. This is something we have on our todo list, but I cannot give you timeline.

Thank you for your answer. I wish that this could happen sometimes in the future. Good to know that it is already on the todo list.
