4.7-2013-q3 big endian

Hello,

I create big endian patch for 4.7-2013-q3. It is here http://pastebin.com/9LVFz8vn
After this patch it contain all libraries as before plus aditional "bigE" variants.

Witch own compilation is also useful this patch, it keep version number "2013q3" independent to current time. Here: http://pastebin.com/bLjQikyT

Do you have any plan to create litle/big endian release officialy? Compiler support bigE long time, problem is only libraries and it is minor change.

Hi Jiri,

We held an internal meeting to discuss this request and some other related issues. Unfortunatelly the decision is that no plan to support it officially in near future. The major reasons are we need to focus on Cortex-M/Cortex-R based targets and currently no suitable resources to test bigE library. Hope you can understand and thanks for your support.

Problem is that Texas Instruments use Cortex-R4 with big endian (TMS50 product line)

Yes, it works. We already have project with TMS570LS3137. And SW of this project can be optionally compiled with GCC/bigE.
It have 5 MB of source code (C + ASM) and grow rapidly. SW project have 10 months history with GCC, and we don't find any bigE related problem in every day ussage.
We are able to do compiler tests for Cortex-R4 biE. And we are able to help you.

Patch from this thread work with version 4.8 2013q4 without changes.
