"make" tool for Windows?

Asked by Jorge Aparicio

Any plans for a "make" binary for this toolchain, like the one provided by the CodeSourcery toolchain ("cs-make")? This is mainly for Windows as it doesn't provides a make utility.

I have sucessfully build firmware with this toolchain in Windows, using the MinGW make utility, but il'll be nice if I didn't have to download MinGW.

Current plan is still separated Linux like tools cygwin or mingw. We hope
it won't be much inconvenient to download then, so that we can focus our
resource on other higher priority tasks.

Thanks

If you need some external "make" package for windows to use with this toolchain, you may try the YAGARTO "Tools" package that provides the "make" for windows while using "GNU Tools for ARM Embedded Processors" toolchain.

For Windows may be useful not only "make" utility. Try this package http://www.freddiechopin.info/en/download/category/7-coreutils
