Keep Luna workspace switcher design in Freya

Asked by Mark Ivanowich

With Freya, switching workspaces gives you this design:

Where, my simple mind much enjoyed the design in Luna:

Is there a way I can keep the old style, while moving to the newer software version?
I am certain this pertains to Gala, if I am mistaken where the workspace switching is controlled, please redirect me.

Actually no. I appreciate the thumbnails old design, but I also appreciate the display of two desktops in the background...

Hi,
As developer you could try install older version of gala from source.
but this will most likely break your installation because of dependencies of the gala versions.

But as normal user i would say no it is not possible.
Because a lot of code has changed to make it look like that.
And indeed not everyone will love it.
What you could do is ask developers to be able to change some settings.
Then u need to make a blueprint here: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/gala/+addspec

Because of the huge changes in Gala and that this request will get white listed ( meaning not implemented).
i mark this question as solved.
