Assign a specific public VIP

Asked by Kieran Evans

Is it possible to assign a specific IP to the public VIP?

I've attempted to change it as follows:

fuel network --env 1 -d
... Edit VIP in network_1.yaml
fuel network --env 1 -u

But it didn't seem to accept the new IP. Any other changes stick, and I get no errors, but the VIP (and vrouter IP) go back to their original values

The IP is within the appropriate range, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Thanks,
Kieran

Hi Kieran,

how is that "goes back to original value"? Do you deploy after that change?

If I deploy, it uses the original values, and if I run "fuel network --env 1 -d" pre deploy it shows the original values.

Can you please file a bug also specifying your version and high-level setup? https://bugs.launchpad.net/fuel/+filebug

Thanks,
Fabrizio

This seems to be the same issue, so I'll comment on this bug rather than adding a new one:

Thanks.
