Evacuate host error

Asked by mario

Hi, i have deployed Openstack Juno with Fuel 6.0. When i try to launch the evacuate host (manual or horizon) i receive the followin error:

Unexpected error while running command. Command: sudo nova-rootwrap /etc/nova/rootwrap.conf chown 999 /var/lib/nova/instances/325c68d9-104f-4790-a066-62c4284b9e0e/console.log Exit code: 1 Stdout: u'' Stderr: u"/bin/chown: changing ownership of `/var/lib/n
Code 500

How to implement the automatic instance evacuation in case of hardware failure?

Any ideas???

Thanks

Mario

Greetings Mario,

what do you mean with auto-evacuate? There is no such feature in Nova yet, you should run an external tool to monitor hosts/server and trigger the evacuation under certain rules.
