freemix

Will you be using / reusing PiTiVi code where appropriate?

It seems that PiTiVi might have some useful code to integrate into freemix.

Have you considered using some of the code base? It would seem logical as it is all entirely gstreamer based as well.

This personal project has a useful goal (one of them using it for a vj gig I have in mid july). But for the first months of development it will be purely experimentation, testing, and learning. So looking into other gstreamer based video apps will be very helpful to learn and grab good ideas.

So the answer is yes, if I find something appropriate I will use it, but don't forget freemix is for live editing.
