Processing graphics window on Ubuntu is dead

Asked by Roberto

When I run the Processing sketchpad FreeIMU_cube or FreeIMU_yaw_pitch_roll in Ubuntu nothing shows up in the graphics widow. I don't even get errors. I'm new to Ubuntu Linux, so I un-installed openjdk and downloaded and installed Oracle Java JDK 7. Made no difference. I then tried a simple processing example and the same thing happened. I'm baffled because Linux doesn't have the courtesy of spiting out an error to let me know what could possibly be wrong.

Hi Roberto, unfortunately there isn't much I can do about it.. I'm simply an user of Processing myself and this problem should be addressed to Processing developers. I would suggest asking for help on the processing.org user forum: http://forum.processing.org/

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Roberto for more information if necessary.
