The question is how to get a 32-bit version of freefilesync. Only 64-bit available to download.
Thank you in advance.

The precompiled Ubuntu version on the FFS project site is always the x64 of the latest Ubuntu release. The 32-bit versions are available via Launchpad.

I am looking at this on Launchpad, actually. The only way to download the latest 32 bit version I can find is to use the apt-get command, which tells me it is up to date. However, it is two versions behind the 64 bit version, and version 5.21 wants to delete some very important pictures for no reason at all. So, when will 5.23 be in the Saucy repository?

Damien Lecan (dlecan) said : #3

I didn't have the time to package FFS 5.22.
FFS 5.23 packaging began a few days ago and will be available in a few hours. I hope for Saucy too.

I don't mind skipping a version if that's what is required. The point is that it is useful software, and so when things are not working/accessible, it has an impact. The most wonderful operating system in the world does no good without the apps and utilities required, and I appreciate the fact that people are willing to contribute to the effort. If I ever get to the point where I feel comfortable contributing, I will, but that's not possible right now.

I got notified of an update this morning, and the update seems to fix my issue. Thank you for releasing this.

To the OP: It should be available now via apt-get install (see repository information).

Maybe I'm not looking in the correct place but I don't see any 32-Bit downloads for the newest version. I was hoping to find a DEB for Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy. Does it not exist or am I simply looking in the wrong place(s) and if it does exist can someone link me to it?

Go to
Click on "freefilesync - 5.23-0ubuntu1~saucy ", then get "i386" binary package.
