Where are config files kept?

I have looked in ~/.config and ~ but can't figure out where the config files are.

The database saving all your notes is located at $USER/.local/share/footnote/notes.db. Configuration is saved in dconf under apps.footnote, but, at least at the moment (may change), there are almost no options.
