Folder Color

Cannot choose the folder color / badge via the context menu while on the desktop in Ubuntu Budgie 19.04

I'm running Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 via a USB drive and I'm using Nemo. I can freely change the folder colour as well as badges while inside of Nemo and browsing folders. However when I open the context menu on a folder sitting directly on the desktop I cannot change it's colour or badges, the menu is not there at all. I remember it wasn't the case in 18.04. I hope it's not a known problem - if yes, I'm sorry but I couldn't find anything about this.

Hi Adrian,
If it's working with any folder in Nemo and not in the desktop, then is a Budgie issue.
It could be that Nemo is not managing your desktop, but it's your default file browser as app.
Could you ask here? https://discourse.ubuntubudgie.org/ they are giving awesome answers every time.
