Folder colors and emblems not applied to mount points

Asked by kybos

Hi,
I use Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon with Nemo (fresh install, no substantial customizing so far).
The folder colors and emblems work well for "normal" folders, but I have 3 folders to which additional hard discs are mounted. For these the colors/emblems behaviour is very erratic - most of the time nothing is set, sometimes the color/emblem is shown after refresh or restart of Nemo, but never for more than one of the three mount folders.
Do you have an idea what is wrong there?
Thanks,
Kybos

Hi,
The default folder color in Linux Mint is a fork of this folder color, then I don't know.
The folders configuration are stored in the user settings. I tried in my second hard disk and everything works perfect.
Could you try my version? http://foldercolor.tuxfamily.org/ For that, uninstall folder-color-nemo, install the PPA and install folder-color-nemo.
Best regards.

Thank you very much for your answer (and the very useful functionality).
I solved my problem in another way in the meantime.
I mounted the additional discs under /mnt (probably cleaner anyway) and created symlinks to them in my HOME. That way setting colors to them works as expected.
