0.0.85 version doesn't work properly on Ubuntu 16.04

Asked by van hanegen

Hi,
instead of changing the colour of the folder icon, the icon is change itself into another type. Does this version bugged, or something wrong with my install - ubuntu 16.04 64, nautilus 3.14.3, unity. Should I make a bug report (in that case, please tell me how)
P.S. I have two other installs: 14.04 and 17.04 and 0.0.79 version works just fine on both - may be i should install it instead of (probably broken) 0.0.85?
best wishes

I managed to solve it with Synaptic by installing 0.0.79 version (0.0.85 one is still there for no good reason), then hold it with sudo apt-mark hold folder-color & sudo apt-mark hold folder-color-common. Works rather well.
Thanks alot for this app, sir!

Hi Van,

I think is your theme. Could you try with another theme?

Best regards,

Hi,
It's all about themes! For some reasons 0.0.85 version doesn't work well with Ubuntu-mono-dark (and with some others: Humanity, Suru, Unity-icon ...) So, i 'll stay with 0.0.79 - works really fine with my default Ubuntu-mono-dark theme.

best wishes

It should work with those themes :O
I'll review that.
Thanks for your feedback.
