Use with Wordpress plugin

Asked by Jon Brown

Hi Keyvan,
This plug in looks great and I would love to use it on my travel blog. Do you know if this can be used as or with a wordpress plugin that would allow the RSS to display in my blog so everyone can view the feed, or does this only work within my personal browser? Thanks.
Jon

Jon: I'm not sure if I understand your question. Firstly, are you asking about Full-Text RSS or PDF Newspaper?

If it's about the Full-Text RSS service, you shouldn't need it if you run your own blog as you should be able to specify whether you'd like to offer your readers a full-text feed or a partial feed. Are you not able to do this?

Hi Keyvan:

Sorry to be so cryptic. I am asking about Full Text RSS.

My travel blog www.mytouristcenter.com is set up to include, as posts, news feeds and the like along with posts from travelers. The problem is that all I get are news summaries; I can't get the full story unless I click out of my blog. I'm not sure if you are familiar but I am using wp-o-matic to retrieve this info through Yahoo channels.

Your code appears to give the full text of the article without having to click on anything to get the full story. But is that browser specific, do I need to downlaod something additional to make it work on my computer. More specifically, if I hosted it on my server would those viewing my blog have to download something themselves for it to give them the full text in their browser?

I was hoping there was a way to include your code into my blog so that when wp-o-matic retrieves the feed it would publish the entire story on my blog as a post.

I haven't done any experimenting yet, I thought I'd ask first.

THANKS!
Jon

Jon: I'm not familiar with wp-o-matic. But to answer your other question: the Full-Text RSS service is not browser based: it's server-side code. Given a feed URL (typically containing partial content) it will give you another feed URL which attempts to retrieve the full content for each entry in the original feed URL. You can then use the new feed URL in place of the old.
