start a sound file in the middle in firefox

How can html which uses STARTTIME and ENDTIME tags for an embedded sound file be ported from Netscape for Windows 95, Windows NT, and Macintosh, where these tags are implemented, to Firefox under Linux, where apparently they are not?

well if they are not supported by firefox, they are not supported,

i expect that there is a sound command for firefox, otherwise the web would be very dull
