Only able to create budgets with negative amounts

I am not sure what I am doing wrong but since setting up FInancisto on my new phone I cannot seem to get budgets to start with a positive amount. If I create for example a £50 budget it will start at -£50 and then any expenses in the relevant category increases it further into the red. The green plus button next to the amount when setting up a budget has no effect. I have tried experimenting changing and turning on/off the various options but with no luck. Never experienced this issue on my old phone so no idea what I am doing wrong. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Advanced apologies if I am being glaikit with this.
