i can't seem to find how/where to import ".csv" or ".qif" files despite site saying its possible

Asked by mike galke

Greetings,

Hi, excellent product. I can see where to export, but I can't seem to find where to import either a csv or qif file. Main reason is not so much for my transactions, as it is rather to not have to recreate all my categories over again. Any clarification greatly appreciated!

Phone = original Droid (Motorola).
OS version = 2.2
Financisto version = 1.4.6.

Mike

It is not possible yet to import data from qif or csv files. At the moment we only support full database backup/restore. You can find the appropriate options in the menu. Thanks

Has any progress been made on this QIF category/sub-category import feature?

I would like to export all my existing categories and sub-categories from Quicken and import them into Financisto. This will be once-off task and will allow me to create transactions in Financisto and later export them to Quicken without having to "fix" the cateories in the .qif file that is created by Financisto.

Is there a way to do that?

Otherwise Financisto is a really "fintastico" app!

Thanks.
