Credit card statements don't charge bank account

Asked by Avenged Sevenfold on 2010-09-19

Either the option is well hidden, or credit card statements cannot charge other accounts on billing day (like, say, my actual bank account). I would like my bank account to be charged on billing day (because that's how my credit card works...)

I charge on my credit card, and I can even include it in the totals. However my bank account is unbalanced, because my bank has charged my account with the credit card statement, and financisto has only recognized the billing day, but has not given me the option to charge my bank account.

Other than that, I am very happy with financisto, it's one of the best apps in the market!

I've create a blueprint for that
We'll have to clear requirements before implementing it, please put your thoughts in more details please

"automatically changed on billing day" *charged

My thoughts in more details:
I would expect that when you create a credit card account, after you select "payment day", you can also select which other account to charge on that day.
Also, the "include into totals" in the credit card account should only include the total since the last payment day (it should only include the balance of the month), or else the credit card payments will "double". For example, if I bought a book last month for $50 on my credit card, and this month it charged $50 from my bank account, the total balance of all accounts should not be -$100. Once the credit card charged another account already, it doesn't need to be counted in the totals.

I would appreciate this feature as well! So if you could implement this within the next version it would be great!

I think Sevenfold said everything.
I didn't understand what he means when he talks about totals. I think that it is enough to not include CC account transactions to totals.
I would like to be able to set "Closing Day" to "Last day of the month"...

Any prevision to the roll out?

I've just setup Financisto I was looking for this too so I guess it's not in the release yet.

Count me +1 on a request to add.
