How to best compute the matrix inverse (NEGF)

Asked by Greg von Winckel

99% of the time, there is no reason to compute the matrix inverse, however, the Nonequilibrium Green's Function method is the 1% of the time where you have to. The problem to solve is

(E-H)G(x.x')=delta(x-x')

where E is a spectral parameter and H is the Hamiltonian. With nodal Galerkin methods, obtaining the approximation to G(x,x')
requires computing the inverse of E-H. What would be the best way to do this with FEniCS?
