How to create a local installation repository server

Asked by rsagare

Hi,
I want to create a local installation source for remote installation/upgrade of packages (from 'Add/Remove software' program) for all fedora clients in the network.
How should I proceed ? All I tried was editing yum.conf file & make a local servers' entry into it (where I copied my Fedora 7 DVD); but it didn'e worked out.

Never tried to do this myself, but if you ask Google for pages containing "fedora local repository" (without the quotes), you'll get a bunch of results that look like what you're looking for, for example http://www.g-loaded.eu/2005/12/11/local-yum-repository/

Can you help with this problem?
