Can I customize Fala

I really like Fala, because it is simple to use and install. But I was wondering if I customize Fala, like adding voices, changing speed, etc...? I know this kinda contradicts the idea that fala is simple, but I didn't know if it was possible.

Right now it's not possible to customize fala. Are you a programmer? If so, patches are welcome.

Fala needs more love, by the way...
