Should I use Launchpad for F-Spot?

Asked by James Carroll

Is LaunchPad the best location to post bugs and track feature plans (blueprints)?

The upstream bug tracker for F-Spot is bugzilla.gnome.org. To file a new bug, go here:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=f-spot

However, bugs encountered in F-Spot in Ubuntu may be handled on Launchpad. If you think an issue might be specific to Ubuntu, file it at https://bugs.launchpad.net/f-spot/ . Otherwise, it's probably better to use the upstream GNOME bug tracker. This saves someone the work of sending bugs upstream.

F-Spot does not use the Blueprints feature on Launchpad.

Correction: the URL for Ubuntu-specific F-Spot bugs was supposed to be:

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/f-spot

Most of its bugs should be filed upstream, though. That gets the issue to the developers faster, and should get fixes distributed more widely.
