m3u Playlist without #extinf

If have much m3u playlists without any #extinf tags. The list is only a text file with absolute paths to mp3 files. When I load such a list with the open file menu the playlist is diplayed in a new tab but all songs in the playlist get an unknown title entry. Ablum and artist entry are ok.
Also files that are in that playlist and in the collection have the unknown title entry in my collection and in all other playlists that contain the file.
I dont know if this is a bug or if playlists without #extinf are not supported but it seems a little bit strange to me that song entries in my collection are updated with information from the loaded playlist.
I am using exaile 0.3.1b from ppa:exaile-devel/ppa with ubuntu karmic.
