In Outlook you can configure the connection by setting up a connection to an Exchange server.
In advanced setup enable exchange over internet and setup parameters as provided by the company hosting the
exchange server. It requires XP or higher on the client side.

To me it it looks like this functionality is not implemented yet in Evolution.

JM, I think you are right. As far as I know, Evolution works with exchange using the webdav:// and webdavs:// protocols only.

If you're worried about encrypting the data, just use a webdavs:// which is an ssl-enabled connection.

jinkxed, you'd be best to take your question to a new question. Setting up gmail is not related to exchange.

For the record though, pop.gmail.com (use ssl) and smtp.gmail.com (use ssl) for the incoming and outgoing pop servers. Make sure you've enabled pop access via the "settings" at gmail.com

Can you help with this problem?
