Evolution hangs on startup

Asked by craigsn@hotmail.com

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this. Maybe a startup option to "clean" the message db, or something. I don't know. I had just booted up, clicked on Evolution to start, it comes up with the main screen, but then stops and freezes. When I start another application in another desktop window, and then switchback to the desktop window with Evolution, the image of the other application in the other desktop window overprints the Evolution screen. I have to use the close button to force a quit. None of the menus or anything in the Evolution window is active.

I am on Hardy 64bit, upgrade from Gutsy, and everything had been working over a month. There were some updates I installed last night, but I don't remember all of them, but one was a new kernel and support files for that. The rest, who knows.

Thanks

Ok. rebooting fixed it. But I'm still not sure what the problem was, or how to avoid it agan in the future.
