Hi,

I take it that you're using Ubuntu on your notebook.

As far as I can gather, video conferencing with Yahoo is not currently supported by messaging applications provided with Ubuntu. If your grandchildren can use Google Talk at their end, you should be able to use the Empathy instant messenger on the latest version of Ubuntu to connect with them. If that doesn't work, Skype is also available for both Ubuntu and Windows and allows video conferencing between them.

Unfortunately I don't have experience with actually setting up video conferencing with those applications but if you need more information on how to do that, please feel free to ask.

Can you help with this problem?
