How does one login at ...http://xyz.tld/eg/staff/login

Asked by Howard Canning

Hi
when I try and login at http://xyz.tld/eg/staff/login and click submit nothing happens. I can however login at http://xyz.tld/eg/opac/home
Should the same login work in both sections or is there a default system login at http://xyz.tld/eg/staff/login

I also tried #15 adding a websocket ( https://evergreen-ils.org/documentation/install/OpenSRF/README_3_2_1.html#_websockets_installation_instructions ) and http://xyz.tld:7682/eg/staff/login but I get a 404

Pls advise.
Thanks

Whenever you see a white screen in the staff client, use the developer tools of whatever browser you're using to view the Console for error/warning messages. In this case, I would guess that it's unable to connect to websockets. Make sure websocketd is running, then try again.

Hi Chris. As per http://evergreen-ils.org/documentation/install/OpenSRF/README_3_2_1.html#_websockets_installation_instructions is websocketd specifically ran (for Ubuntu) with the command:
/usr/local/bin/websocketd --port 7682 /openils/bin/osrf-websocket-stdio &This is the command u used to run it. Thanks

Hi Chris,
This link https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1912938 illuminates the specific weebsocketd issues I'm having. Maybe I'm running websocketd with the wrong command or from the wrong directory?
Thanks
