how to uninstall the latest version on Ubuntu20.04

Asked by Wang Yaqiong

I have installed the latest version on Ubuntu20.04 according to https://answers.launchpad.net/esys-particle/+faq/3234 .

Now I have some problems relating to the compiling after the instruction of 'make', and the it says like:

[ 68%] Linking CXX executable dump2pov
/usr/bin/ld: ../../Model/libModel.so: undefined reference to `CRotFrictionIGP::CRotFrictionIGP(std::__cxx11::basic_string<char, std::char_traits<char>, std::allocator<char> > const&, double, double, double, double, double, bool, bool, bool)'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [Tools/dump2pov/CMakeFiles/dump2pov.dir/build.make:194:Tools/dump2pov/dump2pov] 错误 1
make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:867:Tools/dump2pov/CMakeFiles/dump2pov.dir/all] 错误 2
make: *** [Makefile:130:all] 错误 2

So, I want to re-install the esys. But I don'y know how to uninstall it.

Hi Yaqiong,

There are instructions for installing ESyS-Particle on Ubuntu-20.04 available here:
https://answers.launchpad.net/esys-particle/+faq/3234

If 'sudo make uninstall' does not work to remove the old version, then this FAQ may help:
https://answers.launchpad.net/esys-particle/+faq/947

Cheers,

Dion
