Gravitational potential and self-gravity in ESyS-Particle

Asked by Behrooz Ferdowsi

Hi everyone,

I recently read a few papers that discussed the implementation of (and results from) the gravitation potential in a version of ESyS-Particle. I also saw in a post on iMechanica that self-gravity feature is available in ESyS-Particle v3.0. May I ask if that means that the self-gravity (and gravitational potential) is available in the development version of the code? I am asking because I see that v3.0 is not publicly released yet. I am interested in this feature because of the excellent opportunities that it will open up for ESyS-Particle in research areas such as astrophysics and planetary sciences/geophysics.

Thank you for any hints and comments.

Best regards,
Behrooz
