phishing and malware warning when accessing the website

Asked by Noah Athens

I'm wondering if anyone else gets a phishing and malware warning when accessing the Esys website? And if so, if there's any explanation?

Thanks!

Hi Noah,

Specifically which website? The wiki at esys-particle.org?

Cheers,

Dion

Hi Dion,

https://launchpad.net/esys-particle

I'm not actually receiving the warning but the high-performance computer manager at my university is. I had asked him to install Esys on our cluster, but he is concerned about the warning. I will ask him to clarify what browser he is using.

Hi Noah,

Have you searched for similar concerns for people accessing other projects hosted on launchpad? I would think it highly unlikely that this warning is specific to esys-particle alone. Launchpad hosts a large number software projects and individual developers have only limited tools to upload/update content.

Cheers,

Dion

Hi Dion,

My apologies, I was a little confused. The problem appears to be with the wiki: http://www.esys-particle.org/wiki/

The issue is that the domain is flagged by my university's network administrators for hosting phishing and malware. They have unblocked it but said the automatic system is likely to flag it again in the future. I'm afraid that's all the information I have.

Can you help with this problem?
