The ESyS-Particle Ubuntu Live DVD is for x86_64 architectures. ESyS-Particle can also be installed on 32bit systems.

Hi Dennis,

Sorry you've had trouble with the Ubuntu Live DVD. Unfortunately I have no idea what went wrong as this is the first time I've heard of problems with that DVD image. Perhaps a problem during burning of the DVD?

Regardless of that, I would advise you not to bother with the current Live DVD as it contains an old version of ESyS-Particle which is no longer compatible with the online documentation. In the next few days (possibly tomorrow!) I will be making a major release of ESyS-Particle v2.0 via Launchpad. This new version has been 14 months in the making and will be the only version of ESyS-Particle supported hereafter. Might I suggest you wait until next week before evaluating ESyS-Particle? I will do my best to produce a new Live DVD containing ESyS-Particle v2.0 before then.

I will add a comment to this thread with a link to the new Live DVD image when it becomes available.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Cheers,

Dion.
