Esys-particle: executable not found

Asked by Daniele

Dear all,

I am trying to install Esys-particle on Ubuntu 12.04.
I have used the Ubuntu Software Center version and the installation was successfull.
However the executable
esysparticle
cannot be found not even by which or locate command.

Any suggestion ?

Also are instructions to install it on a generic linux cluster available somewhere ?
Where ?

Thank you in advance for your assistance,
Best regards,
Daniele

Hi Daniele,

Just wondering if you can find and use the executable 'mpipython' instead. If so, this means the Software Center has installed an older version of ESys-Particle. If you would like to use the latest version of ESys-Particle, you would need to use a newer version of Ubuntu or install it from source.

This link will guide you on how to install the latest version of ESys-Particle:

Or if you are confident to build it from the source code,

Cheers,

Justin
