Cilindrical particles

Asked by Celso Neto

Hello, Please, Can you help me?

Question 1

I would like to create cilindrical particles and then try to make some simulations.

Based on paper "Cylindrical object contact detection for use in discrete element method simulations, Part I - Contact detecntion algorithms" and "... Part II - Experimental validation" both of Kodam, M.; Bharadwaj, R.; Curtis, J.; Hancock, B.; Wassgren, C..

For this I need to create cilindrical instead of spherical particles .

Question 2

How can I move a plan in Esys. Example: Create two parallel walls and a grounding that can be moved and this way to convey particles forward.

Thank you for you attention,
Celso

Hi, Celso:

Not sure this will satisfy your requirements, a much easier way of making cylindrical element is to create clumps/rods using linked spheres :-)
