Stop standalone client

Asked by did

Hi,

I use Epoptes (from proposed ppa) on Edubuntu (server and standalone clients) and and when I try to stop client from the server, it displays the Ubuntu interactive menu. I try to desactivate it with the command "gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power button-power 'shutdown'" but it doesn't change anything for Epoptes (it just desactivate the interactive menu when I press the power button).

Is it possible to stop directly the clients ?

Thanks for your answer.

You click the shutdown button from the epoptes toolbar,
and you're getting the ubuntu poweroff interactive dialog?

If so, that's a bug, can you provide a screenshot?

By design, you're only supposed to get a prompt if you have unsaved files e.g. in LibreOffice or other applications that inhibit logoff.

Yes, when I click the button from the toolbar, but also with the session menu.
I think it's a problem with Unity (the Ubuntu interface) and Compiz, because if I use the fallback session with Metacity, it works normaly.
You can see it on this screenshot : http://pix.toile-libre.org/upload/original/1427560919.png the client n°13 is using Metacity and the other Compiz.

Thanks !

I think the problem is described in this bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-session/+bug/931565
Please put yourself in the "Affects me too" list there.

Which Edubuntu version are you using?
