Broacast Quality (Monitor/Assist)

Is there a way to change the quality of the broadcasting (monitor or assist)? Right now the quality is excellent, but I would like to make the connection faster - is there a way to lower the quality of the broadcast? Sometimes the screen refresh rate is really slow when broadcasting.

First, try this: http://www.epoptes.org/documentation/lan-benchmark
Do you have a gigabit connection on your server? How many clients do you have?
If you get 50mbps per client in the speed test, and you still think that the screen refresh rate is slow, then you can try creating a vnc wrapper to pass whatever parameters you want to x11vnc and/or xvnc4viewer. More about that after the speed test. :)
