Are there any plans to move to a modern copy-on-write filesystem, such as BTRFS or ZFS?

Asked by Seth

Having experienced firsthand what the PC-BSD[1] team has done with ZFS snapshots on their desktop OS, including 'boot environments'[2] for easy-as-pie system rollbacks, I am left dissatisfied using legacy filesystems like ext4.

Does the development team have any plans to change out the default ext4 filesystem to a modern COW (Copy-On-Write) one such as BTRFS[3] or ZFS[4]?
