Can't change the default music player

Ive installed Quod Libet because I was experiencing problems with the default music player.
When I play an audio on the default music player and close the application, the music keeps playing.
I have to pause it from the top notification panel, open the music application docked in the launcher (highlighted by a red dot, instead of blue) and then close it from there.
Only then the music stops and the application is closed.

You can change your default music player in the system settings -> application plug

You can change the "close-while-playing" behavior of noise the elementary music player with this command in the terminal:
gsettings set org.pantheon.noise close-while-playing true
