Dropbox doesn't work

Asked by T0MuX

Hi all !
I have some issues with Dropbox. I tried many way to install it but none of them make it working fine.

- Install by 'dropbox_2015.02.12_amd64.deb' file downloaded on the Dropbox official website :
It install well, the icon (launcher) appears in the elementary menu but nothing more. Nothing in taskbar, no sync. I restarted my computer and nothing more.

- Install by the command line way, (wget + tar in ~\) launched 'dropboxd' and 'dropbox' manually.... it works, it syncing (checked with my smartphone having dropbox too) BUT no icon, no progression bar or anything else in the taskbar. I have a "casper dropbox" lol.

- Install by 'sudo apt-get install pantheon-files-plugin-dropbox' but the package does not exist. It seems to be the old way, used on previous elementary versions.

- 'sudo apt-get install dropbox' doesn't work neither because the package doesn't exist in the elementary repository.

I post this here because I need help and also because I think i'm not the only guy to have this issue with Dropbox. Thank you by advance for helping. And sorry for the categorization but I didn't found which is the most appropriated.

The taskbar menu icon works for me with this method but dropbox is not integrating in pantheon-files (like in nautilus). The context menu for sharing files in the public folder is not working an there are no status icons for synced sub-folders.
