Macbook Pro 10,2 resolution prevents installation of ElementaryOS

I'm trying to install elementaryOS to my Macbook Pro 10,2 (to an external HDD) but when I start the installation, the screen resolution is not displaying properly, causing the dialog box to be partially off the screen and unusable for installation. I cannot resize the display during installation. Can this be corrected in a conf file or somehow be corrected??? I'd really love to be able to install eOS as I've contributed to the project. :)
