Problem to start eOS: "Checking battery state" and never start..

Hi guys,

I use eOS eight months ago and never I had problems with the OS start. Today I was working and I was do an update, later I close my laptop to go to have lunch, and when I come back to my workstation, I opened my laptop, and I couldn't use nothing, I only can see my mouse and the background, well I decide to restart my laptop for the hard way (keep pushing my ON button for 3 seconds) and when I try to start again my OS, this show me the eOS logo and the next I see is a black window with the next message:

Staring preload: preload [OK]
* Checking battery state..."

And my laptop don't work anymore :(

Plz help me, I love eOs and this is my only work tool

it happens also to me, but i have desktop pc.
this happens to me when i upgrade-modify the video drivers.
i solved removing nvidia drivers.

Too late my friend, I had to reinstall my eOS :(

The close-lid switch is the one and only hardware issue I have with eOS.

I set mine to "do nothing" and the power button to "ask".

Also I suspend rather than hibernate.

Can you help with this problem?
