Realtek WIFI Issue with upgrade

With latest update to linux headers., when using dist-upgrade to upgrade packages it kills WIFI on next reboot. Everything was working fine before the upgrade (the upgrade problem started happening in the past two days) It fails to connect to the network and keeps on requesting the password. Works fine on a separate ubuntu installation on the same machine. Am a noob in linux configuration. Please help me out.
