Could we import an iTunes.xml file into Noise like Banshee?

Asked by DerVerruckteFuchs

I have a dual-booted Mac with OS X and Elementary OS installed. I like being able to sync my iTunes Library with Linux OSes so that Linux can "see" my music files on my OS X partition without copying them to my Linux partition. I have done this many times in the past. I think Noise could support being able to do this better.

Could we be able to sync music libraries with Noise via an iTunes.xml file in the future? Banshee can import songs from via Media>Import Media>iTunes Media Player to get the iTunes.xml file. I can play my music just fine with Banshee, but I really like the Noise interface. I am already using my iTunes Music folder as a source in Noise, but some of my albums are missing from my selection with only ~3GB of music showing up. However, using the iTunes.xml file method in Banshee allows Banshee to "see" my whole ~75 GB library.

Could we also have a "Sort by Album Artist" option?

Choosing my "/Macintosh HD/Users/me/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Music/" folder instead of my "/Macintosh HD/Users/me/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music folder" worked and my Library synced perfectly.
