Will elementary use the 12.04.2 kernel/graphics base?

Some evidence shows the next point release of lts ubuntu (12.04.2) will have linux kernel 3.5 and a new stack of graphics drivers in the iso:

I'm not sure if they'll keep the older kernel updated, but I do know elementaryOS is taking its time to release. What are the plans about this upgrade?

We will use at least the 12.04.2 kernel. I'm not sure if pulling in newer Mesa or Xorg makes sense, we'll see about that.
