Wingpanel and plank doesnt automatically start anymore?

It used to work just fine, but since the past day or two Wingpanel and Plank doesnt automatically start anymore? But if I press Alt-F2 the launcher appear and I can start the applications.
But then elementary doesnt respect maximized windows and they get maximized behind Plank.
Whats wrong?
