Opening new tabs in Midori

Why not put the new tab button next to the tabs. Seems unlogical to look in the upper right corner. Also the icon doesn't give any clue what it does.

Can you elaborate? On my system the new tab button is next to the tabs, it's a big + sign on the left side of the tab row.

I think he means the button next right next to the location bar. And yeah, that button duplicates the normal new tab button.
